Customer's Core Problem:
Ethan's company was building a customized pneumatic control system for a food packaging production line. Their original manifold housing supplier struggled to maintain consistent thread quality and port positioning accuracy. Several assemblies experienced air leakage during pressure testing, forcing technicians to manually repair connections and delaying the equipment delivery schedule.
Our Solution:
After evaluating the customer's assembly drawings and pressure requirements, we manufactured the manifold housings from Aluminum 2017 using high-precision CNC milling and thread machining processes. All threaded ports were inspected with calibrated thread gauges, and critical mounting surfaces were verified using CMM equipment. The parts were then black anodized to improve corrosion resistance and provide a professional appearance.
Project Parameters:
Customer's Positive Feedback:
"The machining accuracy was excellent. Every fitting sealed properly during pressure testing, and the manifold assemblies installed without any alignment issues. The anodized finish also gave our equipment a much more premium appearance."
Follow-up Results (Repeat Order Quantity & Amount):
After the successful launch of the packaging project, the customer placed five additional orders over the following ten months, totaling 3,900 manifold housings with a cumulative order value of $118,600.
